Marketing Designer

Purpose

The Marketing Designer will be responsible for executing the Web Essentials brand and visual identity through world-class design and the latest online marketing strategies. In collaboration with the Sales and Marketing and HR/Admin Teams, the Marketing Designer will provide creative oversight into the corporate identity through the conception and creation of visual materials for sales and marketing initiatives and campaigns, recruitment efforts, and other company sponsor events. The candidate would work on a variety of projects including advertising campaigns, print collateral, one-sheets, presentations, photo selections, website enhancements, data visualizations, logo and templates development, mockups, and design work required for client facing projects. The Marketing Designer is responsible for applying the corporate brand consistently across all inhouse and marketing materials. He/she would be expected to learn and apply social media and SEO tools and methods, as needed. The ideal candidate is both a leader and a collaborator. He/she is someone who has a highly-developed artistic sensibility, outstanding communication skills and an understanding of how to convey marketing concepts through design.

Key Responsibilities of the role

  • Lead visual design, photography and production design for all Marketing communications (website, blog articles, social media, email marketing, sales assets, content, product marketing)
  • Primarily collaborate with the Sales & Marketing but also HR/Admin on design concepts and deliverables
  • Take part in strategic marketing exercises and content ideation
  • Promote content on our communication channels as needed
  • Contribute to the maintenance and development of the corporate website - in terms of design and content uploading
  • Own the Web Essentials visual identity and style guides, driving adoption and consistency across the company
  • Image management - follow a protocol for how all design work is maintained, saved and organized
  • Design for client facing projects as needed.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the brand’s history, company goals, and company products and services
  • Support maintenance of marketing team documentation and media space
  • Innovation of in-house company culture events and projects

Experience, qualifications, and skills

  • Demonstrated experience in marketing design - ideally in both the print and digital space
  • Creative and open team player who enjoys trying new communication strategies and keeping up to date with developments in Marketing
  • Has a working knowledge of how design translates over into digital executions via HTML, scripting, and other relevant means
  • Brings competency and skill to all areas of design including layout, type, logo development, color, and composition
  • Expert knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat) and Microsoft Powerpoint
  • Excellent communication, both written and oral in English (German a plus)
  • Excellent organization and execution skills
  • Highly self-motivated and able to work with a team
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines, both under direct supervision and autonomously
  • Good understanding of web development products
  • Experience in Agile a plus
  • Knowledge of Neos CMS a plus
